The parable of the arrow (or 'Parable of the poisoned arrow') is a Buddhist parable that illustrates one what is really important right now. Hong Kong news DailyHongKong wrote quoted the parable of the arrow and suggested stop fighting over the origin and give the Covid19 cure for the people.

LMU journal, cannabis could cure COVID19, just no proof yet

Interesting publication from LMU(Loyola Marymount University) showing cannabis could be the green solution for the current COVID19 crisis.

LMU(Loyola Marymount University)

Andy McCoy in the Global Learning section suggested that despite of numerous studies showing the potentials of the medicinal benefits of cannabis, it is yet to be tested in human being. Furthermore, Andy McCoy noted that cannabis have numerous therapudic benefits such as anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflamation which makes it the best candidate for COVID19 cure. Probably it could be because of the legality issue?

Recently HKU(Hong Kong University) researchers also published a survey result from medical students regarding medical cannabis.

However, depsite of this scientific researchs and studies showing the potential of cannabis, Hong Kong is going backward from 420. In Hong Kong, the regulatory body is even trying to ban free sales of CBD, which is controvertial considering the bespoken medical benefits of cannabis.

Currently there is no restriction for trading CBD products, but soon it would be disappeared from the public domain and be precribed under special occasions.

COVID19

However it is getting clearer and clearer day by day that cannabis clearly does not fit into the harmful drug categories, and it is benefitial to human being providing medicinal and theraputical value. Even more, cannabis is shown that it could stop SARS-CoV-2 and mutant virus to replicate. Also cannabis stops the cytokine storm, which is said to be the main cause of death after COVID19.

We need to legalize cannabis and let the cure flow to people and stop COVID19. Why not try One Country Two Systems platform in Hong Kong, and legalize cannabis to see if it works on COVID19?

Whilst it is unclear how the CBD would be regulated, and how you can buy in Hong Kong in the future, Daily Hong Kong, an online news advertisment website in Hong Kong, posted contact photo of the CBD seller on the street and attracted attention.

This post from Daily Hong Kong was actually reporting the news that Chinese scientists found CBD can cure the damaged heart muscle, which giving hope for the people who got myocarditis after Covid19 injection.

Interestingly, while reporting this news, Daily Hong Kong included a photo of a street CBD seller taken from the street and attached to the post.

Hong Kong medical students are supporting legalization of cannabis for medical use

International peer reviewed journal Complementary Therapies in Medicine published a research result from Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region that the faculty medical students are supporting legalization of medical cannabis.

Highlights

  • Medical students in Hong Kong supported future legalization of cannabis for medical use despite perceiving more risks.
  • Female students perceived higher risks for cannabis than males.
  • Students who used cannabis before are more acceptable on using cannabis as treatments.
  • Stigmatizing views from Asian countries should be considered when medical cannabis is legalized in the future.
The research team analyzed a cross-sectional anonymous online survey which were sent from 1st December 2018 to 31st August 2020 to all medical students from the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

Overall, students perceived cannabis possessed significant physical and mental health risks, but they were more neutral to its physical and mental benefits. They also supported legalizing cannabis more so for medical use than recreational use. Students were also more likely to recommend medical cannabis than non-licensed cannabis to patients if they were legally available.

Conclusion

Medical students in Hong Kong supported legalization of cannabis for medical use despite perceiving significant risks from cannabis use. Future research should investigate public acceptance on medical cannabis in Hong Kong and other Asian countries.

South Korea cannabis legalization efforts unveils HiGH KOREA project

South Korea national flag

While the news that cannabis can cure COVID19 and stop SARS-CoV-2 it is notable that a rather reclusive country Korea is also planning to legalize it completely. HiGH KOREA(하이코리아 in Korean) aims to lift up and remove the wrong beliefs of cannabis in Korea. Activism website HiGH KOREA is trying legalization in Korea. Interesting because Hong Kong also want cannabis to be legalized. Well, maybe not, because obviously COVID19 is not a regional issue but a global issue which needs to be addressed and solved. Cannabis can cure COVID19.

Cannabidiol increases gramicidin current in human embryonic kidney cells

Gramicidin is a monomeric protein that is thought to non-selectively conduct cationic currents and water. Linear gramicidin is considered an antibiotic. This function is considered to be mediated by the formation of pores within the lipid membrane, thereby killing bacterial cells. The main non-psychoactive active constituent of the cannabis plant, cannabidiol (CBD), has recently gained interest, and is proposed to possess various potential therapeutic properties, including being an antibiotic. We previously determined that CBD’s activity on ion channels could be, in part, mediated by altering membrane biophysical properties, including elasticity. In this study, our goal was to determine the empirical effects of CBD on gramicidin currents in human embryonic kidney (HEK) cells, seeking to infer potential direct compound-protein interactions. Our results indicate that gramicidin, when applied to the extracellular HEK cell membrane, followed by CBD perfusion, increases the gramicidin current.

Hong Kong Tour Tips and News

Hong Kong is surely one of a great city in the world. However, recently it is losing the edge in the international society.

Why?

The biggest reason that Hong Kong is losing edge in the international society and suffering is because the government is strictly adhering to the 'zero covid' policy from the mainland government. Therefore, so many people are suffering right now.

Hong Kong people describes this 'zero covid' policy as "draconian" measures, whilst government is justifying it to tackle COVID19 outbreak.

(Reference: China’s Insistence on ‘Zero COVID’ in Hong Kong Has a Deeper Meaning)

Moreover, Hong Kong government is not allowing the COVID19 cure to the people.

In the mist of this, Daily Hong Kong, an online media based in Hong Kong, has illuminated a middle way to find a balance between zero and one.

Daily Hong Kong pointed that scientist have already proven that the old good cannabinoids are showing greater result in blocking COVID19 than any other antiviral drugs or vaccines.

Therefore, Daily Hong Kong suggested to legalize cannabis in Hong Kong as a test bed to find out whether the cannabinoids really work on humans for blocking SARS-CoV-2 and curing COVID19.
